Squeeze is built with a strictly "Local First" architecture. All video compression and processing happens directly on your device using your phone's hardware. Your videos are never uploaded to our servers, never streamed to the cloud, and never viewed by us. By design, we logically cannot access your video content.
2. Data Collection
To provide and improve our service, we use industry-standard verified third-party services (Google Firebase, Google Gemini) to collect minimal, anonymous data.
Anonymous Analytics: We collect aggregate data like session duration, crash reports, and feature usage counts (e.g., "How many videos were compressed") to optimize performance.
AI Features: When using Magic Edit, your text prompts and technical video metadata (e.g. duration) are processed by Google Gemini to interpret your commands. Your video files are NEVER uploaded.
Authentication (Optional): If you create an account to sync Pro status, we securely manage your login credentials via Google Firebase Authentication. We do not sell or share this data.
Purchase History: We track entitlement status (Free vs Pro) to unlock premium features.
3. Advertisements
For users on the Free plan, Squeeze displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To make these ads relevant, Google may collect anonymous device identifiers (Advertising ID).
You can reset your Advertising ID in your device settings at any time.
Pro users receive an ad-free experience with no ad tracking.
4. Permissions
Squeeze requests the following permissions for functionality only:
Storage/Photos Access: Required solely to read the video you select for compression and to save the result back to your gallery.
Notifications: Optional, used to notify you when long background compressions are complete.
5. Contact & Data Rights
Because visual content is processed 100% offline, there is no user video data to request deletion of—we simply don't have it. For questions regarding your account or other privacy concerns, please contact at:
